Autumn Trends 2017
It is now the start of October and Autumn fashion has hit with full force.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
This years' fashion trends for Autumn may be my favourite trends of all time! From everything red to 70's inspired plaid, you are sure to find a way to incorporate this into your everyday wardrobe during the fall season.
Here are some of my favourites:
1. Red
Red is 100% the colour of the season, and I am totally over the moon about it! Givenchy's Riccardo Tissci even dedicated a whole collection to the colour which featured many head-to-toe red outfits, including amazing red fur coats, frilled tops, stunning red blazers and flared red trousers.
Kendall Jenner has also showcased the glamorous colour for Fendi. She was shown in a red knee length coat with matching red leather boots, a red handbag and red hoop earrings. One of her best friends Gigi Hadid then appeared modelling for Max Mara sporting a red semi mesh polo neck top with a matching red velvet skirt, alongside a red woolly coat and matching red heels.
Red is definitely a trend that I will be following and sporting this fall and I have found many more subtle ways than a head-to-toe outfit to incorporate it into my everyday wear.
HOW TO WEAR IT?
The most effective way for me to include red in outfits has been sweatshirts.
Sweatshirts give a very casual take on wearing red and also look great! My favourite red sweatshirt I currently own is one from Pull&Bear.

When it comes to wearing red on a night out, I have recently purchased an item that will get everyone's heads turning. A red vinyl skirt. For me this is a very 'out there' purchase and I have not yet been brave enough to go out in this skirt. However, I know when I do it will have people staring and asking where it is from because it's quite different. Paired with a casual band or slogan tee is a great way to wear this item and will of course look very on trend.

Fur is a trend that seems to follow through Autumn fashion year to year. Last year we had statement fur pieces which were brightly coloured and extravagant. This year, however, we've stripped it back to basics. We had runways showcasing their more basic, vintage style fur coats, such as Yeezy.
Kanye's show in Pier 59 earlier this year showed model Halima Aden rocking an ankle length fur coat. Not only was this coat amazing, but also the fact the Hamila was seen to be wearing her hajiab, this was a first to many and showcased the diversity that Kanye aimed to achieve in his shows.
HOW TO WEAR IT?
Many of those who are brave enough to wear fur may be wondering how to wear it in a more casual way. The best way to do this is to search for a style of fur coat that you feel you would be comfortable wearing! It's all down to personal preference.
Here are a few examples of fur coats that could be part of your everyday style during the Autumn months:

Cropped Jeans Cropped denim jeans are the perfect way to transition from summer to fall as they allow for extra warmth but also still show some leg. They can be paired with almost anything from summery crop tops to winter jumpers. You are also able to wear them with your favourite sandles or match them up with a pair of boots. |
